Our Certifications & Accreditations
Aquafeel Solutions Carolina holds 5 NSF certifications, WQA membership, and BBB A+ accreditation since 2018. Here's what each one means — and why it matters for the water in your home.
Why Certifications Matter
The water treatment industry has minimal federal regulation — any company can claim "removes 99% of contaminants" without independent verification. NSF certification changes that. It provides third-party testing that confirms a system works as advertised, that materials are safe, and that performance is consistent under real household conditions. When you choose Aquafeel, you're choosing verified performance.
NSF/ANSI 42
Aesthetic Effects
Independently verifies that the system reduces chlorine taste, odor, and other aesthetic contaminants that affect water quality without posing direct health risks. Applied to Aquafeel's whole-house carbon filtration systems. Particularly relevant for Triangle-area NC water (Raleigh, Durham) where chloramine reduction requires specially tested catalytic carbon media.
NSF/ANSI 44
Cation Exchange Water Softeners
The specific NSF standard for residential water softeners. Verifies that the softener actually reduces water hardness to the level it claims, that the resin and brine tank materials won't contaminate your water, and that salt efficiency meets performance standards. This is the most important certification for any water softener company.
NSF/ANSI 58
Reverse Osmosis Drinking Water Systems
Verifies that the RO membrane and filtration stages remove contaminants — including lead, arsenic, nitrates, fluoride, chromium, and dissolved solids — to the levels claimed. Also verifies material safety (all components in contact with drinking water are safe). Applied to Aquafeel's standard RO and alkaline RO systems.
NSF/ANSI 61
Drinking Water System Components — Material Safety
Verifies that all materials and components in contact with drinking water don't leach contaminants above health-based thresholds. This covers pipes, fittings, valves, and other hardware — not just the treatment media. NSF-61 applies to all Aquafeel system components, ensuring the hardware that connects your system is as safe as the treatment itself.
NSF/ANSI 372
Lead-Free Compliance
Verifies that products meet the lead-free requirements of the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) — specifically the 2011 Reduction of Lead in Drinking Water Act which reduced allowable lead content in plumbing products to 0.25% weighted average. All Aquafeel fittings, valves, and hardware are NSF-372 compliant.
WQA Member
Water Quality Association
The Water Quality Association is the leading industry organization for water treatment professionals. WQA membership requires adherence to a professional code of ethics and access to ongoing technical education. Aquafeel's technicians hold WQA certifications demonstrating validated knowledge of water chemistry, treatment technologies, and industry standards.
